Oktoberfest Season Is Coming: Live Music for Tenant & Corporate Events

Tenants enjoying live Oktoberfest music at One Post Office Square in Boston

Oktoberfest season is right around the corner — and it’s one of our favorite fall event themes to bring to life with live music.

As our clients start planning September and October tenant experiences, happy hours, and corporate celebrations, we’re looking back at an Oktoberfest event at One Post Office Square in downtown Boston, where So Good Sessions partnered with the JLL property management team to bring live Oktoberfest music into the building.

Creating an Oktoberfest atmosphere with live music

For this celebration, the building’s bright, modern lobby became the setting for an Oktoberfest-inspired afternoon with food, drinks, festive details, and live entertainment.

We curated an Oktoberfest trio featuring accordion, guitar, drums, and vocals — instrumentation that immediately helped set the scene and made the entertainment feel connected to the theme rather than simply added on.

That’s one of the things we love about seasonal events: the music can do a lot of the work in establishing the atmosphere.

Guests walk into the building and immediately know this isn’t an ordinary afternoon in the lobby.

Give tenants a reason to stay a little longer

For tenant experience teams, getting people to come downstairs is only part of the equation. The best events give them a reason to stay.

Live music can help turn a quick trip downstairs for a drink or snack into a longer experience. There’s another song to hear, another colleague to catch up with, and a reason to spend a little more time enjoying the space.

That’s what we want the music to accomplish. It isn’t just entertainment happening in the corner of the room; it becomes part of what encourages people to gather, connect, and experience the event together.

What could Oktoberfest look like at your property?

Not every Oktoberfest celebration needs to look the same.

For a smaller tenant happy hour, an accordion-led duo can create the theme without overwhelming the room. A trio can bring more energy and variety, while a larger Oktoberfest ensemble can become a focal point for a major property activation.

We curate each lineup around the space, audience, budget, and experience our client is trying to create.

And while traditional Oktoberfest instrumentation is an obvious fit, the larger goal is always the same: finding music that makes the event feel cohesive, intentional, and worth sticking around for.
